This is sad… Andy Hallett, the actor who played “Lorne” (otherwise known as “The Host”) on Joss Whedon’s Angel passed away last night at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. He has been battling heart disease for the past 5 years. He was only 33 years old.
I was always a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and when Whedon spun off the show into Angel, I was a little nervous as to how good it would be. I didn’t need to worry… Angel was a fantastic show on it’s own, and a lot of that was due to Hallett’s character on the show. He provided humor, music, and some much needed “camp” to the show.
